On September 4, 2026 New Mexico switched off BioTrack and moved every licensee to NMS2S. The new state system's POS API covers sales, deliveries, patient validation and voids — and nothing else. Room moves, transfers, adjustments, migrated-inventory corrections, lab-result entry and the tax on every ticket are now manual work in a web app. BudAlly turns that into a checked task list, reconciles your POS to NMS2S every night, and does the excise and GRT math your register can't hand to the state.

MIGRATION AUDIT
Find what didn't migrate.
Your pre-cutover POS export against NMS2S: items missing, wrong product type, +1-year default expiry, missing weight-per-package, test results not carried. Output: a correction task list in NMS2S order (“Correct Migrated Inventory”), by room.
TAX MATH ON EVERY TICKET
Excise 14%, GRT by location, medical exempt.
NMS2S takes a tax amount; it doesn't compute one. BudAlly computes excise and state + local GRT per location code, zero for medical patients (excise-exempt, GRT deduction D0-034), and reconciles POS tax to NMS2S tax before the monthly TAP filing on the 25th.
NIGHTLY RECONCILIATION
POS ↔ NMS2S, by Item ID and Barcode ID.
Sales tickets matched to NMS2S ticket IDs, Sales Floor quantities to POS on-hand, voids to void reasons. The monthly reconciliation 16.8.2.40 requires becomes a report you already have.
RECEIVING & ROOM MOVES
A task list, in the order NMS2S needs it.
Manifest Ready to Receive → receive with counts → deli-style conversion where needed → move to Sales Floor → sync POS. Each step is a StoreHome task with a “done in NMS2S, confirm” check, until the inventory API exists and it can become a draft.
COURIER DELIVERY
Driver and vehicle registered first, or the ticket fails.
Licensed-courier-only rule, pre-identified recipient, ID and signature capture, $10,000 vehicle cap, driver licence and plate matched exactly to NMS2S registrations before dispatch. Delivery records kept 12 months.
MEDICAL, KEPT HONEST
Tax-free means tax-free.
No “discount in lieu of tax.” Patient and reciprocal-card sales are flagged from the DOH lookup, excluded from adult-use cohorts, and carried as a separate column into the close — the same split the federal Schedule III order now asks for.
